Hello! I’ve been proud to call this beautiful state home my entire life. My journey into birth work began with my own experience as a new mother in 2008. I was struck by the fear and lack of education surrounding birth — and even more so by how little support existed for postpartum mothers. That period was more difficult than birth itself, and I wasn’t prepared. Thankfully, with my next babies, things were different — and it ignited a deep passion to support others more fully through this transformative time.
In 2009, I enrolled at Oregon Health & Science University to pursue my path as a Nurse-Midwife. While in nursing school, I became a doula to better support families during labor. I also gave birth to my second child at an out-of-hospital birth center — a powerful, affirming experience that confirmed my calling to serve outside the hospital setting. I’ve had three unmedicated births with midwives and breastfed each of my children — each experience unique, and each one deeply shaping how I show up in this work.
While raising my children, I worked as a Registered Nurse in various community health settings, continually grounded in the belief that real, lasting health happens outside of the hospital. When my kids entered school, I returned to pursue my dream and earned my Master’s in Nurse-Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University.
Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported in their health journey — whether navigating fertility, pregnancy, menstruation, or menopause. My intention is to honor the wisdom of your body and create a safe, empowering space where your voice is central and your well-being is nurtured — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
I'm here not just as a midwife, but as a partner in your care through every season of life.
When I’m not caring for families, I love spending time with mine — exploring new places, hiking, kayaking, and soaking in hot springs. During quiet moments, you’ll find me reading, knitting, gardening, or simply enjoying time with my kids.

Hi, I’m Amanda, a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for holistic, physiologic birth. My path into midwifery began early, as a competitive gymnast, I developed a profound respect for the human body — its strength, its limits, and its capacity to adapt and heal. That early connection to movement and intuition led me to a lifelong calling: supporting people through the transformative experience of birth.
I began my nursing career in labor and delivery in busy high-risk hospitals, but over time, I felt a growing disconnect between what patients needed and how the system delivered care. Birth felt rushed, overly medicalized, and often centered on policy instead of the person. I wanted to offer something different — care that’s rooted in trust, collaboration, and respect for the body’s natural process. That calling led me to earn my Master’s from Georgetown University, with dual certification in midwifery and women’s health.
Since then, I’ve supported births in hospitals, birth centers, and homes. Of those, home birth is where I feel most aligned. It creates space for calm, connection, and real presence — and allows me to bring my full training to support safe, individualized care that centers the birthing person.
My own home birth experience deeply affirmed everything I believe about physiologic birth. It was a transformative and empowering experience, although a difficult one. My early postpartum period also brought unexpected challenges, particularly with breastfeeding. Navigating that difficult journey firsthand gave me a new level of empathy for the parents I serve. It also inspired me to pursue certification as a lactation consultant, so I could offer even more comprehensive, informed support during the tender and vital early days of parenting.
I believe in honoring the whole person — their story, their goals, and their voice. My clients are the experts on their own bodies. I’m here as a guide and a support: someone who listens closely, offers clear information, and holds space for informed choices. I practice trauma-informed care and strive to make every interaction feel respectful, and empowering.
For me, this work is about more than clinical care — it’s about trust, connection, and showing up fully for people during one of life’s most powerful transitions. Birth can be both safe and sacred, and it’s my privilege to walk alongside families as they navigate it.
